Community members are taught how to maintain beehives as part of a community engagement programme at the Jaguar Camp, Bolivia. World Bee Day is celebrated on the 20th of May. Bees are under threat due to human activities. However, FAO is providing technical assistance to many different countries on issues that include queen breeding, sustainable honey production, and export marketing.
